Marinos Gialeli is a Non-executive director supervising DPRG IM operations and administrative functions to insure proper accounts handling, integrity of the performance reporting process and adherence to institutional clientele demands among other industry standards.

As CEO of the Hotel Employees Provident Fund, Marinos runs its operations handing employees’ and employers’ contributions of about 241 hotels on Cyprus with the total asset base of 240mln. EUR and 14,500 overall contributing members.

His role includes advising the Board of Directors on the Fund’s strategy, implementation of its investment and management policies, monitoring in-house administration and external investment consultants and investment managers’ activities.

His responsibilities demand full employment of his extensive pension liability management and investment management knowledge, which he acquired during a twenty-four-year career in the industry.

As a non-Executive Director Marinos sits on the boards of DeltaΜark Fund Management Ltd and Exelcius Prime Ltd, both regulated by Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as on the Board of Directors of LogosNet Ltd a wholly owned company of the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus.

During 2013-2021 Marinos has also served with success as a Non-Executive Director of Bank of Cyprus public company Ltd through crises period and worked as a Member of the Audit, Risk, Strategy & Restructuring and Remuneration & HR Committees. In 2013-2014 He chaired the Board of General Insurance Ltd. and served as a Vice Chairman of the Board of JCC Payment systems.

Prior, Marinos used to serve as a Member of the Board of Eurolife Insurance, The Cyprus Investment and Securities Corporation Ltd, BoC Oncology Centre and Unifast Finance & Investment Public Company Ltd.

Mr. Gialeli graduated in 1997 with first class honors from the Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, New Jersey, where he studied Finance and Investments (MBA). In each year of his studies at the FDU he was awarded prizes for his outstanding academic performance.  Following graduation, he started out with Lieber & Weissman Securities, L.L.C., Wall Street, New York in 1998 as a Junior Trader.

After arriving in Cyprus at the end of 1999, he worked for CLR Financial Services and Harvest Financial Services, before joining the Hotel Employees Provident Fund in early 2004, where he holds the position of Chief Executive Officer to this day.

Marinos is a well-perceived team leader at work and among friends’n’family and enjoys hiking and fishing in his spare time.
